Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is an FDA approved medical procedure for the permanent reduction of unwanted hair growth. During this procedure, a concentrated beam of light (laser) is used to remove unwanted hair.
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
With LéhCär’s diode lasers, hair reduction is achieved over the course of approximately 12-18 services. The number of services varies by person and area being treated. After a completed series, you can expect to need a “maintenance” service every 6-12 months.
During each service, the laser will treat only the hairs that are in the active growth cycle – this does not mean all visible hair. This is why it takes a series of services to reach each different growth cycle.
Services should be performed every 4-6 weeks and it is VERY IMPORTANT that you are consistent in coming in for consecutive services in order to get the best results
